Export Control Rules - What Are They?

The export control rules, they try basically to make it more difficult for China to upgrade its capacity to produce advanced chips. The idea is to kind of keep China somewhere in the low or middle range value of the supply chain and not let it access the higher value. With these new rules and subsidies and tax breaks, you can see that there is an attempt both in the US and Europe to share this advanced chip production capacity on their own territory.
