In 18 98, which was the year of consolidation, brooklyn is now joining manhattan and the other boroughs wod become greater new york. The team would move to a brand new washington park. It would be across fourth avenue, closer, i should add, to the gaanus canal pre holfords. And soall sudden they were really good. They also brought in a new manager from baltimore named ned hanlin,. or foxy ned as they sometimes referred to him. He was so famous that the team became associated closely with his own personality.
