The Importance of Team Therapy for Narcissism
Matt: I was trained to believe that who knows what's right and wrong for how people should be. So the reason that I've always had tremendous ease treating narcissists is first, I'm one myself. And so, you know, I love narcissists and I let them know I use a lot of stroking during the empathy phase, a lot of disarming. And then I let them set the agenda. What do they want help with? If they like me, if they sense that I like them, they're very hard working... But my expectations for them are very limited. They might treatment for help with their relationship with their son or daughter or partner - something like that.
