Kreutzfeld-Yachob Disease in Western Michigan

A listener asked about a cluster of Kreutzfeld-Yachob disease cases in Western Michigan and possible links to chronic wasting disease. We are very concerned that the preons in Whitetail deer and other serbids may very well one day infect humans as a result of consumption of the venison or the meat from that deer. And this is why we urge everyone who is a deer hunter, particularly in areas where CWD is known to exist in the deer, please test your animal before you consume it.
