Using Data Parallelism in a Chip?
Data parallelism is a very powerful concurrency model, but there isn't really a language out there that leverages it other than languages like VHDL. It's not the sort of approach that the average programmer in the street is likely to use anytime soon. But I do think it's interesting to know about it and appreciate that it is being used under your feet inside the CPU that you're running on top of. So if we ever do a second edition of the book, maybe we will find a way of squeezing deck parallels in the next panel. Sounds great. Well, thank you so much for taking the time and sharing your knowledge.
