Darwin's Fascination With Orchids

Darwin hypothesized that there had to be an insect that could eat the unreachable neck and at the same time fertilize the plant otherwise the species couldn't exist. So without knowing that this bug existed, he looked at this one kind of orchid and inferred from how the orchid was constructed that some kind of bug had to exist. That turns out that a bug with roughly those characteristics happens to exist. It's a lot of like evolutionary interlocking. Science is amazing. I F'N Love Science.
