Hamai is an interesting case. I would really like to work there again in a more detailed manner, because i'm convinced that the ring wall is persian. But then it was modified with towers around its outside, and then this ptolemaic artillery tower put up later on. So i'm basing this on changes in the design of the masonry. And i think this construction mode is a response to the new threat of the artillery. We shald probably talk about that, you know, in turns of when did it come along? The evidence suggest that it came on line in the fourth century b c. Maybe greek elements in sicily picked it up
