Moody Blues was a British R&B band formed in 1964. They had some success but soon decided that they didn't want to continue making music together and so Denny Lane and Clint Warwick left. In their stead the remaining three picked up guitarist Justin Hayward and bassist John Lodge Now initially they continued to perform in much the same style as they had previously fairly standard R&B covers and R&B style originals.
