Rumors about the Kenkora Boys' home were widely known at the time of Lord Louis Mountbum's killing. Some sources suggested that it was part of a British intelligence web to entrap senior loyalist pro-British politicians in Ireland. I think it's a mixture of deference to Lord Louis, as he was known in Sligo, and it's also a real concern that if you lifted the lid on what was happening in Kenkora, that nexus between the British security services in the north and in the south would potentially cause catastrophic revelations for some significantly wealthy and powerful people.
