Defending a Fungus

If you are an animal, a reptile or a mammal, fungi can be deadly. While reptiles could skip meals and make a bunch of babies, when it came defending a fungi, we had an advantage. Mammals actually use some of their energy to keep their bodies warm. This high temperature creates a heat barrier. And this heat barrier means that the majority of fungal species out there cannot grow or replicate inside your body because you're too warm. Our heat keeps the fungus out.
