The Probability of a Cat Awakes
We're usually working with conditional probabilities, and they're conditional on an enormous amount of information that we have. Usually, it's the case for a lot of things in our world, what's going on outside the room will make a difference. We're interested in how likely is it that your cat will wake up in 15 minutes, given the macroscopic description of your room, your shirt, the rest of the earth, the weather.
