Is It All Status Jockey?

The United States is less violent than it has been at basically any point in the lifetimes of anybody alive right now. Nationwide, shootings are down 4% this year compared to the same time last year. In big cities, murders are down 3%. If the decrease in murders continues for the rest of 22, this will be the first year since 2018 in which they fell in the United States.
