The Question of Unity in Politics
People can believe a lot of different things at the same time. And they can be moved in one direction or another by political struggle, by actions and by circumstances. So what i think is fundamental here is that we have a conception of people as multiplicities, as complex as themselves, entirely variegated. Liberals can't work with that. You can't work if liberals m can't sustain itself with the conception of multiplicity. It can only concemptualize people as being sort of individuals. It is sort of relatively fixed monads,. But i think all this opens up the question, the broader question, ol how you conceptual how you do conceptualize difference?
