Salah is running out of money, so he turns to a few places where there's treasure to be had in abundance for the right man. He sends demands for funds to the sacred temples of the god Asclepius, that Epidaurus, to Zeus, at Olympia and the fattest purse of them all to Apollo at the sacred oracle of Delphi. These shrines are friendly enough to the Romans, but this kind of demand from a foreigner was egregious and very unwelcome. The Salah deir flout this clear sign from the divinity, and Caphas, hearing this message, tries to gently steer Salah away from the Delphic temple gold. But
