Brian Harnetti is an ethnographer, a sound ethnographer. He immerses himself in a community, observing and participating in the life of the people there. For forest listening rooms, Brian focused his research on the community's surrounding Wayne National Forest. It's in the Appalachian region of Ohio, in particular the village of Shawnee.
