The Christmas Parade

Katie stepped into an available spot, a few storefronts away from the bakery and waited. The temperature had dropped slightly and the white surfaces all around her were sparkling like sugar. It was clear that the parade was going to begin soon. In moments, a murmur arose from the crowd and some music could be heard echoing down the street. Katie found herself tapping her toes and bobbing in time to the music.
