How to Get Rid of Big Bills
If you're trying to move two million pounds in the most common british bank notes, which are the 20 pound notes and occasional 50 pound notes, you're talking about using about five suit cases. I think we can say everyone recognizes big bills are a problem and the world will be better off without them. The odd situation is that although central banks do make very large profits from segnorage, if you look at society as a whole, or even government as a whole,. the damage that the crime enabled by large bank notes does vastly outweighs those profits.
