Art is a second order making which does not just conclude the sequence of right reasons but reflects back on it. Why do only human beings make art? Because we are also aware of ourselves as subjects in our relationship to the object. We have a mind that does not only know but knows that it knows. A mind that is aware of its awareness and self-conscious. And art does precisely that as I will show in a moment.
