The Budget's Risks and Opportunities

No treasurer has made climate change and net zero more central to a budget speech than you did this week. I personally think that it will be the key determinant or whether we succeed or fail in the defining decade ahead. That's why we've got billions of dollars more investment in cleaner and cheaper energy technology in the budget, part of $40 billion over a two-year period. If we miss this opportunity, if we let it go begging, other countries will do a great job of it and they'll reap the benefits...I want Australia to reap the benefits. And that's the investment aspect of it.
