Zippy's - The Story of Scaling Up
Brothers Francis and Charlie Hega founded Zippy's in 1966. Over time they scaled up, it does become more difficult to buy locally as you get bigger. As industrial farming took over and drove down prices, Hawaii could no longer compete with those prices. And so we try to buy as best as possible from local sources.
