BBC Sound Engineers in Nuclear Bunkers?

The BBC had studios in nuclear bunkers during the Cold War. They were used by politicians for offices of state and things like that. You can visit the one at Kelv the actual BBC broadcast that would have been playing with their heads. Do you think they all got this job thinking, well, if it all goes south, at least we can?
