A survey of 6,000 people asked about willingness to use gene editing or polygenic screening of embryos and attitudes toward the moral acceptability of those technologies. improving cognitive ability by gene editing or through polygenic selection of embryos is the most controversial application of that technology. In second place would be some cosmetic traits like eye color or skin tone or height. And then least controversial would be screening against highly impactful disease risks, like risk of breast cancer or diabetes. My startup genomic prediction only offers the third category of embryo screening that is screening embryos against disease risk.
