Is There a High Level of Resveratrol in Wine?
Emil: Resveratrol is a really interesting compound. It was hyped up as an anti-aging agent, but there's not that much of it in wine. Even though you don't get a high amount in wine, the compound found in wine was tested in animal models and in certain human studies. And this is because NAD+, drives a class of signaling proteins called sirtuins which need NAD+ to perform their activities.
