The Chimp Paradox and a Path Through the Jungle
The Chimp Paradox says there are two parts of the brain. The ancient Chimp brain that makes purely cognitive decisions. And then the more evolved human brain, which makes more emotional decisions. This is relevant to ADHD because an executive function or order we tend to struggle with tends to be in reverse order. It's called affective or emotional decision-making. Brian Bontongo answers your questions and gives his own theories on how it matches up with ADHD.
