Hermeneutics and Eschatology - Are You Up for This Challenge?
The terms are hermeneutic and eschatological. Everybody has a lens through which they interpret scripture. The best gift you can give your church organization is to figure out what that lens is because none of us can ever be truly objective. And so how do we live eschatologically? How do we do that? Well, part of that is understanding what theologians refer to as the now and not yet.
