The Harvard and UNC case makes clear that we're still fighting about it. There are people trying to bring it back where it doesn't exist, get rid of it where it does. Pew recently did a poll on this and they asked should race be a maker factor, a minor factor or not a factor in admissions. Over 70% said not a factor. And yet is anathema to have the view that affirmative action isn't absolutely wonderful in university settings.
