Introduction

Deep Cover's Jake Halpert goes back to the 1980s to find evidence of a massive drug smuggling operation. He meets Carl Cannon Jr., who has an epic beard and volunteers at his local museum as a pirate rain actor. The former Blackbeard was dismissed by the museum for doing some things that wouldn't be quite family-friendly, so he became "Blackbeard" Once in Beaufort, North Carolina, Ned Dimmins learns more about how smugglers hid their operations from authorities.
