A Power of Pisa - A Critical Reflection
A lot of scholarship has been in recent decades, focused upon the challenges to the problematizing of Pisa and other related global international surveys that are highly statistical based. A power of Pisa is a title of one of the books published in recent decades. Its influence, education systems, education decision makers and leaders worldwide varied dramatically. Some of my own research with doctoral students have some lovely quotes from Michael Gove when he was Secretary of State for Education saying we want our children to do the same as you do here.
