Is Bitfinex Misrepresenting Itself?

The story isn't bitfinex any more. That story is gone. No one cares about bitfinex. The volume at bitfinex is dead. It's almost like it's a a remnant of the past. Meanwhile, tether has become a spectacle. And i don't quite understand what happened and why, even though they have the same owner, even though everything about them, in many ways, is that they're run by the same people who are operating in similar ways. Why is one of them being systemically used still?
