The Romans Used These Weapons Separately
The roman army was so highly trained, and in a set pieace battle with ground that they chose, they were almost unbeatable. But if you took them out of that context, for example, the varus disaster, when in nine a d they lost three complete legions in the tuterbourg forest. They would have been used by the romans in a battle such as budicus - but not separately. These weapons are absolutely letal used in that context.
