Brian Cox was a guest on the Reasons to be Existential podcast. He said that if we're the only life in the galaxy, if we destroy planet Earth, we effectively destroy the concept of meaning forever. The show is about exploring nature in that depth, and in particular very exotic things such as black holes. But another level, I think cosmology always raises questions that are not scientific in nature. It raises questions about our place in the universe.
