What Does It Mean to Be Loving and Honoring Your Parents?
Much of what you think of as honoring your parents is not noring at all. There are lots of times when jesus could have maintained a peaceful relationship with other people by choosing not to say hard words. The way some one responds to your words is not a good measure of whether or not your words were loving and honouring. When was the last time you called out someone who was displaying a pattern of harm? We have to come to terms with the fact that our understanding of honoring another person and loving another person is not very christlike.
