The Importance of Alternative Explanations
You asked for meetings with some of the theology faculty at Princeton to check that your faith was academically rigorous. How do we explain this historical hole if not with the resurrection? And one of the professors sort of glanced in the direction of a mass hallucination theory, but without conviction about it. You know, people don't see the same hallucination any more than you and I dream the same dream, let alone the historical evidence within the New Testament. It's all these different appearances over a period of weeks, both to individuals, into groups and in different geographical locations.
