The History of Sandalwood in India

In 1916, 1917, India's first homegrown Sandalwood oil factory gets set up. By the 1950s through 70s, a simply massive harvest and arguably massive over exploitation of Sandalwood resources. Until suddenly a survey of the Karnataka state forests declared that there essentially weren't enough trees left to harvest.
