The Vampiristic Relationship With the Ego
There's an incredible feeling of epic loss when the hero after his struggles in some way, you know, diminishes and goes into the West. There is this strange feeling that there's a diminution of the power of the sun. Too much deflation of the archetype leads to psychic impoverishment. We need to suck off the power ofthe archetype in order to have ego inflation,. but by a weird natural law, we can't in fact go too far with it.
