The Outside Story and the Inside Story
The book is more focused on Cevarian's recollections of his life inside the tower. The other thing that happens here is Palamon starts using terms like masking day and describing moments of the life in the guild, which are pretty easily understandable. So we get all this back information about what the guild does through these little terms being dropped. And in this case, instead of being obscure, they're actually clear enough that we can understand that and sort of shorthand it without needing the explanation. I think that that's a very cool contrast, right?
