Suffering in the Providential Hand of God
Suffering is multifaceted and has a tremendous impact. It's not siloed. We have to address it and deal with it from a holistic perspective. Much of our time in this world has spent living for ourselves and for our own self interests, our own concerns and our own comforts. And that conformity often involves suffering. Why shouldn't it involve suffering? After all, Jesus was a son who learned obedience through the things he suffered. That's another way of saying sanctification. Our suffering is geared toward that same thing.
