"I like to think really big about stuff and try not to hinder myself early on, even if I already am seeing some of the problems with it," he says. "If you start to put barriers up right away, you almost never the conversation never even gets there because you shut it down too early." He adds that constraints can be helpful, but they just need to kind of arise at the right time in the conversation. The author also shares his tips for writing a new book or revising an old one.

- Remaining vigilant, so you notice when lucky breaks come your way.
- Acting quickly, so you are more likely to seize luck when it arrives.

- Why We Should Write – “Many people assume they are bad at writing because it is hard. This is like assuming you are bad at weightlifting because the weight is heavy."
