I would maybe find some contemporary fiction that is interesting in form. That Machado collection that I read was that her bodies, her body and other stories her body. So might be an interesting way to get it. Like short fiction might be the way to start. Everybody read Mexican Gothic which is a book that I still think about like every other day.
