What Is a Disorder in Psychiatry?

i think a lot of psychiatric disorders have their roots and normal behavior. If your disorder is so bad you can't leave your apartment because you have to tap the door sill just the right way seven times, that's a problem. But if you need to wash your coffee cup a couple of times just to make sure it's clean before you leave the house, i probably don't think anything of it. And so again, it's like how much these sorts of behaviors interferes with your life, and that's when it becomes a psychiatric disorder.
