How to Find the Right Balance in a Toast

Daddy says to keep inside jokes to a minimum. What happens too often if there are too many inside jokes, you shut out the entire audience. One or two that seem funny without having to be explained is no problem at all. But if the audience isn't laughing, if they're not getting it, that's where you may run in trouble.
