In hindsight, the better thing to do would have been to be a little bit more careful about that water crossing. You can lose 20 minutes, 30 minutes, you can lose an hour in that race and make it up depending on what's going on for the folks ahead of you. And as Hannah mentioned, towards the hair, I mean, there's just so much that can change over the course of that race because it is so long that it's really worse. Especially with amateurs, right? It's even more huge fluctuations and variations when you're not chasing some sort of organized group.
