"I was raised in fairbanks, alaska on a homestead," says Ed Meads. "When i wanted something, i'd just, you know, break in and take it china lase." He spent three years in prison for stealing 30 dollars from a gas station vending machine at the age of 19. After his release, he decided that when he got out, 'i'm going to be a real criminal' That decision landed him back in prison; this would continue until he became politicized.
