Agnew was one that Will's just had the least sympathy for. He doesn't even make him out to be like a particularly committed racist. Agnew is ultimately kind of brought on because he has by this point, like, made himself out to be the number one, like anti-black protest figure in America. I especially love the chapters on the conventions because it's this great tour of political personalities of the era.
