I think I was fascinated by women, we love to hate. And so my field work instead of going to like parents association meetings or buying a nursery school ticket became sex parties and swingers. That's more fun than studying rich glamorous mommies on the Upper East Side. But what I found was that it was not nearly as upsetting as talking about wealth and the practices of the wealthy and the beliefs of the wealthy.
