Can I Spend My Emergency Fund During the Recession?

The point with the recession is you need an emergency fund and also a replacement income fund for three to six months. Back enoas a financial planer, we always called this a cash reserve. We didn't call it emergency fun. When i switched over to the financial media side, working with a bunch of d i wires, and they all call it an emergency fund. My vernacular changed, and i realized, emergency fund is wrong. Cash reserve is right.
