Kale divergence is a measure that's not symmetric. Simon Dadeo has used it for that reason when he's studying historical change. Richard Sow and I end up in Can We Map Culture, we don't actually find this makes a difference whether you use kale divergence or say like cosine distance. In fact, you come up with the same results.
