Algeria and the Question of Migration and Accessibility of Migration
Algeria and France have been at odds over the issue of migration. The French government slashed visas available to North African countries by up to 50%. Algeria has had special laws for itself, with some Algerians able to claim citizenship if one of their parents or grandparents served France. A platform is being set up in Marseille, modeled on the Silicon Valley, run by a young Algerian entrepreneur. It aims to attract talent from Africa and North Africa.
