The Importance of Working Hard

Carpenter is a very successful financially and otherwise director, all things considered. I think he just doesn't want to deal with the crap anymore. He now sits at home and plays video games and once in a while tours with his band. It's kind of the prototypical film of the awakened versus the foisted paradigm of our overlords. And that can be Reaganomics in the case of Carpenter.
