We all know what the Germans did. We're taught about it from a very early age and yet partly due to the ideological proclivities of many people who did things like write school curricula or make movies or television shows in the 20th century. A lot of people to this day, even now that things have loosened up somewhat, really do not understand what it was we were dealing with in the Soviet Union.
